Chapel & Missions

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

Missions

We strive to keep our students immersed within our communities, involving and educating them about charitable giving, philanthropy, and sharing the love and compassion of Christ.

In the first half of the 2022-2023 school year chapel, chapel offerings will support Mercy Meals. All money raised will pay for supplies to host a Mercy Meals packing event this spring.

In 2022-2023, Grace Lutheran School students raised $465 for Mercy Meals and packed 2000 meals. They also raised $375 for Heifer International for the purchase of chicks, honeybees, and water buffalo to help families around the world sustain themselves through agriculture. Students were also in contact with their two Project 24 students from the previous school year.

In 2021-2022, Grace Lutheran School students raised nearly $2000 through chapel offerings and a special “Pennies for Project 24” fundraiser during National Lutheran Schools Week. The money raised allowed us to sponsor TWO students at the Project 24 site in Lenkishon, Kenya. Project 24 educates and houses vulnerable children in Kenya. It is a wonderful mission with many successful outcomes.

Through efforts including chapel offerings, classroom fund-raising, and community service volunteer events, our students have shared their financial gifts with animals, current students, missionaries and nations.

Chapel

Part of what makes Grace Lutheran Schools unique is regular worship. Parents, grandparents, family, and friends are welcome to join us in chapel worship each Wednesday. Grace Lutheran School also live streams chapel worship on Facebook.

Students assemble in the gym at 8:40 AM. Chapel begins at 8:45 AM.

Worship leaders come from our Red River Lutheran School Association churches and other local and regional LCMS organizations.
